More Best Of 2015

January 8/10

Crossroads features the Best of 2015 throughout January. Highlights this time include show favorites Debbie Davies, the Ragpicker String Band, Albert Cummings, and Brad Absher & Swamp Royale.

Also featured this time:  a nominee in both the Canadian Folk and Maple Blues Awards – Michael Jerome Browne; Grammy nominee for Best Blues Album -- Betty LaVette; and Blues Music Award nominees James Harman, Tad Robinson, Royal Southern Brotherhood, Patrick Rynn, and Tinsley Ellis.

And Crossroads remembers artists who passed away last year, including Don Covay and B.B. King.

Chris Heim produces and hosts Global Village, a nationally and internationally distributed world music show; the nightly jazz show Night Train, and Crossroads, KMUW’s twice-weekly blues and R&B show. Chris is also a critic and freelance writer whose work has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Utne, Global Rhythm, Dirty Linen, and Option, among others.
