Plus some “good vibes” from vibraphonists Gary Burton (2016 NEA Jazz Master), Joe Locke, Stefon Harris and Christian Tamburr.

Night Train celebrates the birthday of trumpeter Diego Urcola. Born in Argentina and educated at the Berklee College of Music, Urcola has gone on to win three Grammy nominations and work with an impressive number of artists. We’ll hear him as a leader and with Paquito D’Rivera and the Caribbean Jazz Project. Plus a final round of music in our week long tribute to singer Mark Murphy, and more November featured artist music from Billy Strayhorn (including music from a rare release under his own name) and from the newly named 2016 NEA Jazz Masters.
