Night Train features new music from pianist and composer George Cables, selections from Mosaic Records' Limited Edition sets, and some favorites from trumpeter Thad Jones and saxophonist and flautist Bud Shank who rose to fame in Stan Kenton's Innovations in Modern Music Orchestra.
Wednesday, September 9
We'll hear some favorites from times long forgotten including tracks from Jimmy Smith and Wes Montgomery, Shirley Scott, Dexter Gordon and Horace Silver.
Thursday, September 10
Night Train turns the spotlight on jazz-centric Mosaic Records. We'll feature tracks from such legendary artists as Woody Shaw, Phil Woods, Buck Clayton and J.J. Johnson.
