The KMUW Pen Pals project is a new initiative dedicated to connecting community members with one another during this time of pandemic-induced loneliness and disconnection. In the midst of Zoom fatigue, it’s a great time to look at alternative methods of creating social interaction. Apply to be a KMUW Pen Pal and we'll connect you with a local senior home where you'll be paired with a kind-hearted stranger who is looking for a friend just like you.
Applications for this project are now closed.
- How long is the program? KMUW will provide you with writing prompts for three months, but you can continue to write to each other after the 3 month period if you wish.
- How will pen pals communicate? Either through written letters, email, or phone calls/text messaging. It will mostly be up to the senior home residents.
- More questions? Contact us at info@kmuw.org.
