Kansas Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer will testify before a joint congressional subcommittee in Washington Wednesday about potential challenges for states under the federal health care overhaul.
Colyer says it's important for Congress to hear concerns about the Affordable Care Act, which was passed into law in 2010.
Colyer is a surgeon and says the law is flawed and detrimental to ordinary Americans.
President Obama and others say the act will help millions of uninsured Americans find health coverage. The online marketplace to help them do so launches October 1.
Despite the short deadline--all Americans must have health insurance by January 1.
Congressional Republicans are trying to delay or prevent the law's implementation.
