One reviewer noted “a loud, broad, tempestuous comedy that is acted at top speed”. It’s opening night for a new play by a young, unknown playwright. The lead actress, the backer, and several others, are hoping for a tremendous success but fear the play, which is a very earnest and experimental work, possibly spells flop. The news spreads that the reviews are on the whole favorable; the tables are turned. But the playwright who has suffered both from the enthusiasm and pessimism of his associates and is about to take a plane back home. Can he be persuaded to come back to the theater?
