Wichita Community Theatre continues its 2021-2022 Season with Frederick Stroppel's The Christmas Spirit. This comedy runs December 2-12 at 258 N. Fountain.
It's Christmas Eve in Long Island, and Julia Dowling has an unexpected visitor. Death has come to escort her to the afterlife. Julia persuades him to give her one last Christmas and invites him to the family festivities. The next day the house fills with bickering relatives, friends, the local priest—and Death, masquerading as a human, singing carols and drinking eggnog. Moments of high farce, drama, and even romance arise as bright holiday fantasies collide with a not-so-merry reality.
