Latinos represent 19% of the United States population and have an economic output of $2.8 trillion with nearly 5 million businesses registered as Latino-owned across the country – generating more than $800 billion in revenue, according to data from the U.S. Small Business Administration.

This spring, The Journal is highlighting the opportunities, challenges and leadership required to start and operate businesses through a special reporting project on Latino entrepreneurship. We hope you’ll read the stories and help us celebrate the launch of this edition of The Journal by attending an engaging evening of festivities to include:
a documentary screening featuring firsthand accounts of Latino entrepreneurs such as Miguel Santana-Morales and Elisa Santana-Rosales
live music by the Wichita-based salsa band Tumbáo
dancing performance from Baila Wichita
Be sure to wear comfy shoes because you’ll even get a free salsa dancing lesson from Baila Wichita.
Want to see a sneak peek of the film? You can watch the trailer online!
