For over a century, each generation of Americans has had its own edition of teen sleuth adventures - from the gorgeous painted covers of the early Hardy Boys to the canary-colored charm of the Nancy Drew series. But along the way the characters inside changed as often as the covers did, both inspiring and reflecting the changes in their readers' lives.
