Sandzen Gallery Exhibition Opening Reception

Five new exhibitions open at the Birger Sandzén Memorial Gallery on January 16 and continue through March 13, 2022. Extraordinary Women Doing Ordinary Things will feature large paintings by Jacky Garlock of Clear Lake, Iowa. Back Story is a retrospective of drawings by Kansas City/San Francisco artist Sid Garrison (1954-2021). Collector Deb Scalet is loaning works depicting Coronado Heights from her collection. A dual exhibition, Intaglio: Below the Surface, will include drypoints by Phil Epp of Newton and etchings by Michael Jilg of Hays. The Gallery will also show a selection of Scandinavian ceramics from Sid and Terry Garrison's collection. A come and go reception for the exhibitions will be on Sunday, January 16, from 2 to 4 p.m.
