Kyle Dick is promoter with Naymlis Entertainment which books and promotes a variety of events in the Wichita area.

“What makes most people want to be a promoter or what makes me want to be a promoter? There’s a big difference. A lot of people get into it because they think it’s glamorous and fun and they’ll get to know everybody and everybody’ll love ‘em. But it’s not the case. I got into it because I was kind of forced. I just have always gravitated toward musicians and artists and people involved in that sort of business.

I do this because I love music and unfortunately, because I’m working so much behind the scenes, I often don’t get to see the shows and that’s disappointing. But giving that to the people and letting hundreds of people see a show that I want to see myself is sometimes more gratifying than seeing it myself.

I don’t want there ever to be people saying that there’s nothing to do in this town.”
