Sedgwick County Loses More Than $500K To 'Fraudulent Activity'

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office and the Sedgwick County Manager’s Office are investigating fraudulent activity that resulted in the county government losing approximately $566,000.

According to a news release, the sheriff's office was notified of the theft at about 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 25, 2016. 

Officials are not releasing any additional information at this time due to the active investigation by detectives with the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office.
