Wichita Tennis Player, Teammate Win Silver In Rio

Wichita State men's volunteer Director of Operations Nick Taylor and his partner David Wagner won the silver medal in wheelchair quad doubles tennis in the Paralympic Games. The duo earned gold medals in the last three Paralympic events.

Taylor and Wagner's list of accomplishments now include three Paralympic gold medals, one silver Paralympic medal, three Australian Open wins and three U.S. Open wins.

Australia's Dylan Alcott and Heath Davidson defeated Taylor and Wagner 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 in a match that took nearly three hours to complete. Alcott and Davidson had four aces to Taylor and Wagner's zero, and hit 46 total winners to the Americans' 29. Both teams had 16 forced errors.
