Kansas Flags To Fly At Half-Staff To Honor Victims Of California Shooting

Gov. Sam Brownback has ordered that all flags in Kansas be lowered to half-staff out of respect for the victims of a mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif.

Fourteen people were killed and 17 others were wounded Wednesday at the Inland Regional Center after two suspects opened fire during a county employee holiday party.

In a release sent out Thursday, Brownback said flags would fly at half-staff from sun-up to sun-down through Monday, Dec. 7. The White House already issued a proclamation for flags to fly at half-staff through Monday.
