Kobach To Testify In Ohio On Election Laws

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach is scheduled to testify before a presidential elections commission Friday in Cincinnati about the state's efforts to crosscheck voter registration databases.

Kobach is speaking to a group that President Obama created to identify best practices states use to conduct elections. Those suggestions will be used for potential changes in federal voting laws.

Kansas is among 26 states with a voter registration program that cross checks the names of registered voters.

The program checks the databases in each state to make sure voters are not registered to vote in more than one location.
