New National Recording Registry Inductees, Shemekia Copeland’s Birthday & Gospel Blues

April 8/10

Crossroads highlights recordings from the Impressions, Clifton Chenier, and Blind Willie McTell that were just inducted into the Library of Congress National Recording Registry.

Plus a birthday salute to Shemekia Copeland, and new releases from Bonnie Raitt, the Andy T/Nick Nixon Band, and Eddie Cotton. And for the April feature, a classic from Rev. Gary Davis, a song written by Blind Boy Fuller who studied guitar with Davis, the longstanding gospel group the Blind Boys of Alabama from a project they did down in New Orleans, and a House of Blues Gospel Blues special.
