Brownie McGhee & Lots O’ New Blues

November 13/15

Throughout November Crossroads celebrates the centennial birthday of blues great Brownie McGhee – this time including music from the hit Sonny & Brownie album and other recordings with long time partner Sonny Terry, from the American Folk Blues Festival with T Bone Walker and Willie Dixon, and an R&B hit he had under his own name in the late ‘40s.

Plus lots of new music – including a new compilation of early singles from B.B. King, the Royal Southern Brotherhood, Chris O’Leary, Volume 4 in the Hipshakers series of R&B tracks from King and Federal records, the Ragpicker String Band, Shemekia Copeland, and Canned Heat.

And…a train set!
