In hour two of the show, it’s a Song Travels special featuring Dee Dee Bridgewater, talking about her recent critically acclaimed theatrical tribute to Billie Holiday and singing several Billie Holiday classics. Plus more music from May featured artists Sun Ra (from one of his standards sets) and John Scofield (from the only album he did with guitarist Pat Metheny).

Plus birthday salutes to pianists Lynne Arriale and Hilton Ruiz, bassist Eugene Wright (of Dave Brubeck Quartet fame), trumpeter Sean Jones, and trombonist Wycliffe Gordon – including a performance from Gordan in hour two of the show from the Savannah Music Festival.
