KS House Passes Restricted Driver's License Provision

The State House passed a bill Thursday that allows drivers with a suspended license to acquire a restricted license, instead. Drivers whose licenses have been suspended for a violation often don't have other reliable transportation to work and school and they end up breaking the law again to do so.

The bill allows for drivers to carry insurance, and to drive legally to only those necessary places. The measure passed on a voice vote.
