Women's History Month - Women In Blues

Friday, March 5 and Sunday, March 7

It’s “New Month/New Music” time as Crossroads teams up with Global Village and Strange Currency at the beginning of every month to feature the best in new blues releases.

Among the highlights this tiJorme:

The latest from soul jazz veteran Curtis Salgado

A new acoustic set from guitarists Jorma Kaukonen and John Hurlbut

And as Crossroads kicks of the Women’s History Month feature, we’ll hear new releases from Ally Veneble, Ghalia Volt, Misty Blues (led by singer, songwriter, and cigar box guitar player Gina Coleman), Skylar Rogers, Veronica Lewis, Kat Danser, and Kirsten Thien.

Chris Heim produces and hosts Global Village, a nationally and internationally distributed world music show; the nightly jazz show Night Train, and Crossroads, KMUW’s twice-weekly blues and R&B show.
