Sy Smith And Dominique Xavier Remake A Nina Simone Classic

Sunday, January 10

The jams keep on coming on Soulsations with new sounds from Sy Smith featuring Dominique Xavier (Prince keyboardist and funk master) with a remake of Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good.” Gospel great Deitrick Haddon reminds us it’s “Open Door Season” with his new uplifting single, plus hear legendary funk bands, Brick and Con Funk Shun. We’ll also take you back to 1970 on this week’s DoubleTake, with the classic "O-o-h Child" by The Five Stairsteps and covered by Donnie McClurkin featuring Kirk Franklin.

Carla Eckels is Director of Organizational Culture at KMUW.
