Kansas is expecting record voter turnout in the 2020 general election.
If you haven't voted yet but still want to, here's how you can still cast your ballot in Sedgwick, Butler, Harvey, Cowley and Sumner counties.
Sedgwick County
Advance ballot. If you received a mail-in ballot but have yet to return it, your safest bet is to deliver it in person at a polling location (during voting hours) or at one of the ballot drop boxes shown on the map below.
In you decide to mail your ballot, it must be postmarked by Tuesday, Nov. 3, and arrive at the election office by Friday to be counted.
Early voting. In-person early voting is still available from 8 a.m. until noon Monday at the Sedgwick County Election office in the Historic County Courthouse.
Election Day. On Tuesday, you will need to vote in person at your designated polling location. You can find that location, as well as a sample ballot, through this website provided by the Kansas Secretary of State. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Butler County
Advance ballots. Advance mail ballots can be dropped off in the secure drop box located at the west door of the historic courthouse at 205 W. Central in El Dorado.
Early voting. In-person early voting is still available at the Butler County Clerk's Office Monday from 8 a.m. until noon.
Election Day. On Tuesday, you will need to vote in person at your designated polling location. You can find that location, as well as a sample ballot, through this website provided by the Kansas Secretary of State. In Butler County, polls are open from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Harvey County
Advance ballots. Drop boxes are available for returning completed ballots at the following locations:
- 7th St. on south side of the courthouse
- Near Fire Station #3 on SE 26th Street off of South Kansas Avenue
Early voting. In-person early voting is still available from 8 a.m. until noon Monday at the Harvey County Courthouse Community Room, 800 N. Main in Newton.
Election day. On Tuesday, you will need to vote in person at your designated polling location. You can find that location, as well as a sample ballot, through this website provided by the Kansas Secretary of State. In Harvey County, polls are open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Cowley County
Advance ballots. You can deposit your completed ballot at a secure drop box at one of these locations:
- 119 S. Summit in Arkansas City
- 321 E. 10th in Winfield
Early voting. In-person early voting is still available at the County Clerk's Office, 321 E. 10th, Winfield, on Monday from 7:30 a.m. until noon.
Election Day. On Tuesday, you will need to vote in person at your designated polling location. You can find that location, as well as a sample ballot, through this website provided by the Kansas Secretary of State. In Cowley County, polls are open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Sumner County
Advance ballots. Your completed ballot may be hand-delivered in the return envelope to the Election Office. Ballots may not be faxed. To be counted, the ballot must be received at the Election Office or any polling location before 7 p.m. on Election Day.
Early voting. A registered voter may vote in person at the County Clerk’s Office until noon on Monday.
