On Stage: Holiday Theatre

As we ease into the season of holidays, our thoughts turn naturally to fun, food, and drink, and local dinner theatre is where you can find it all. Mosley Street Melodrama is producing Holidays of Our Lives, an original script by local writer Carol Hughes that parodies soap operas and promises plenty of laughter, along with dinner, or without dinner, if that's your preference. The show runs from November 10th to December 30th.

Roxy's Downtown is serving up dinner and a show featuring two local favorite performers. The Kyle and Monte Christmas Musical is an original, full-length musical comedy and again, if you want just see the show, that option is available. This show is on stage from November 11th to December 23rd.

If you like your holidays with a bit of spice, consider Prairie Pines Playhouse, where the evening includes the murder mystery Murder Most Fowl or Yule Get Run Over by a Reindeer. The evening includes dinner for those who want it, and the production runs from November 18th to December 23rd.

For the very adventurous, one short road trip will take you to Baldwin City and the Kansas Belle Dinner Train, which offers the novelty of dining on a moving train. Entertainment includes the choice of a murder mystery, a melodrama, or a World War II USO show.
