Sunday, May 31
Sunday on Soulsations, we wrap up the month of May with socially conscious songs, including “You Haven’t Done Nothin'" by musical genius Stevie Wonder. When asked about the tune, the Motown legend is quoted as saying "The best way to get an important and heavy message across is to wrap it up nicely. It’s better to try and level out the weight of the lyrics by making the melody lighter.” We’ll also feature other expressive songs by Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes, Marvin Gaye and The Isley Brothers. Plus, R&B artist Stokley talks about his socially conscious song, "We Me."
