April 26/28

Crossroads wraps up the April Chicago Blues feature with music from several artists born at the end of the month – Otis Rush, J.B. Hutto and Jimmie Lee Robinson. Plus the latest from Chicago artists Buddy Guy, Willie Buck and Mavis Staples, classics from Magic Sam and Little Walter, local and regional blues concert previews, and a special concert performance in hour two from two Muddy Waters band alums, piano great Pinetop Perkins and “Steady Rollin” Bob Margolin.

Chris Heim produces and hosts Global Village, a nationally and internationally distributed world music show; the nightly jazz show Night Train, and Crossroads, KMUW’s twice-weekly blues and R&B show. Chris is also a critic and freelance writer whose work has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Utne, Global Rhythm, Dirty Linen, and Option, among others.
