Thursday, September 12

Twelve Nudes is the latest release from singer-songwriter Ezra Furman. We’ll hear selections from that album as well as music from Oklahoma’s Unwed Sailor.

Friday, September 13

Listen for music from Winning Combination, the latest release from Chicago’s The Safes as well as selections from the Windy City’s The Lilacs, who have a new EP out, The Lilacs Endure.

We'll also remember "outsider" singer-songwriter Daniel Johnston, who died Wednesday at age 58. Johnston's struggles with mental illness as well as his artistic and musical genius were chronicled in the 2005 documentary, The Devil and Daniel Johnston. His songs have been covered by a diverse range of artists, including Beck, M. Ward, Flaming Lips and Tom Waits.

Saturday, September 14

We’ll hear music from Death Cab For Cutie’s The Blue EP as well as selections from The Cure’s Disintegration.
