The Kansas Department of Revenue has launched a social media campaign to educate residents about how to get Real ID.
Real ID is a federal law that sets security standards for state-issued IDs. If Kansans want to use state-issued ID to board a plane after Oct. 1, 2020, it will have to be compliant with Real ID standards.
You can get Real ID at a state driver’s license office. You will need to bring proof of social security and an original birth certificate or valid U.S. passport.
