Marginalia: S. K. Perry

Sarah Perry was longlisted for London’s Young Poet Laureate in 2013, and her experience as a poet is evident in her debut novel, Let Me Be Like Water

The story is revealed through Holly’s thoughts to Sam, her boyfriend whose sudden death prompts a move to new surroundings to escape her profound grief. 

I recently caught up with Sarah Perry in London via Skype to talk about her book, her visceral writing, and her life.
