Luther & Bernard Allison, Dave Bartholomew, Art Neville, Dr. John & New Blues

August 30/September 1

Crossroads wraps up the August feature of music from Luther and Bernard Allison with early music from Luther’s days with Motown and later recordings with Alligator, along with music from his son Bernard, including a special of music and conversation in hour two of the show.

Crossroads also concludes the August tribute to Crescent City artists Dr. John, Art Neville and Dave Bartholomew, who all passed away recently.

And there’s new music on the show this time from the Cash Box Kinds, Billy Branch & the Sons of Blues, the B.B. King Blues Band, George Benson and Reese Wynans.

Chris Heim produces and hosts Global Village, a nationally and internationally distributed world music show; the nightly jazz show Night Train, and Crossroads, KMUW’s twice-weekly blues and R&B show.
