Kelly Price Releases Most Inspirational Project To Date

 Sunday, April 18

Nine-time Grammy-nominated R&B and gospel singer Kelly Price recently signed with Motown Gospel. She poured her heart and soul into her second gospel project Grace after the loss of her grandfather early in the 2020 pandemic and the sudden passing of her mother at the end of the year. Hear brand new music from that release, which is becoming one of Price’s most inspirational and moving projects to date. Also this week on Soulsations, it’s the soulful sounds of Kem and Charlie Wilson and The Brand New Heavies.  Plus, this week’s DoubleTake features the legendary Al Jarreau with “Roof Garden” followed by a version from Chris Walker who served as Al Jarreau’s musical director, co-vocalist and bassist for more than twenty years.

Carla Eckels is Director of Organizational Culture at KMUW. She produces and hosts the R&B and gospel show Soulsations and brings stories of race and culture to The Range with the monthly segment In the Mix. Carla was inducted into The Kansas African American Museum's Trailblazers Hall of Fame in 2020 for her work in broadcast/journalism.
