"Keep Workin It Out" From Johnny Britt & Eric Robinson

Sunday, October 11

Sunday on Soulsations, it’s brand new music from Johnny Britt featuring soul singer Eric Robinson. We’ll also hear soulful tunes from Marvin Gaye and The Emotions and uplifting gospel sounds from Mary Mary. And this week’s DoubleTake features the 1971 song “Let’s Stay Together”.  The timeless classic was written by legendary singer Al Green in less than 5 minutes.

Johnny Britt talked about why he wrote his new the song “Keep Workin It Out” with online music publication, SoulTracks, Britt says he’s been married to his wife, Arlene for 34 years.

I wrote this song because we "Keep Workin It Out", period. It was so great working with Eric on this song. While the pandemic kept us from being in the same room - we definitely caught each other's vibe even though it was our first time making music together! We both can relate to the lyrics having wives who have to contend with the challenge of having husbands in the music industry."
