Three members of the Kansas Court of Appeals will listen to oral arguments Tuesday at Newman University in Wichita.
Judges Thomas Malone, Michael Buser and Kathryn Gardner will hear six cases, according to a news release from the court. Three cases will be heard starting at 9:30 a.m. with the remaining three at 1:30 p.m.
The hearings, which are open to the public, will be held in the Dugan Gorges Library Conference Center at Newman, 3100 McCormick.
The six cases will include four from Sedgwick County. Among them is an open records case involving The Wichita Eagle, a paternity case and an armed robbery case.
There are 14 judges on the Court of Appeals. Other panels will hear cases next week at the University of Kansas School of Law, Washburn University School of Law and Johnson County Community College.
After the hearings, the court issues a written decision, usually within 60 days.
