I’m just going to borrow an old Hank Williams song here to celebrate how the 2017 Kansas Legislature converted our state with a good old-fashioned born-again experience!
The whole nation wondered, they pointed and gasped
“What’s the matter with Kansas?” that question they asked
Our state was in trouble, our budget was a fright
Raise the revenue! We saw the light!
The governor had promised it would not take long
Kansans were lab rats he experimented on
He shot us with poison and called it adrenalin
He might near killed us, but we’re back again!

Now in the White House, there’s a big orange guy
He wants to give our failed experiment a try
