Brand New Sounds From R&B Band Change

Sunday on Soulsations, brand new sounds from legendary R&B band Change. The band was formed in Italy in the late 70s and heavily influenced by the group Chic. Change produced music in the 80s including the million seller funky tune, "A Lover’s Holiday" and "Paradise." The band’s debut album, The Glow of Love featured lead vocalist Luther Vandross. Change returns with original members Davide Romani and Mauro Malavasi, and new vocalist Tanya Michelle Smith. Hear their new single “Hit or Miss” from their forthcoming project Love 4 Love, scheduled to be released in September 2018. 

Carla Eckels is Director of Organizational Culture at KMUW. She produces and hosts the R&B and gospel show Soulsations and brings stories of race and culture to The Range with the monthly segment In the Mix. Carla was inducted into The Kansas African American Museum's Trailblazers Hall of Fame in 2020 for her work in broadcast/journalism.
