We’ll hear blues covers of his songs from Johnny Winter, the Staple Singers, the Holmes Brothers, Bettye LaVette, Sue Foley, Eric Bibb and more in hour one.
Then in hour two, a Sound Opinions special that reexamines two critical periods in Dylan’s career – his early days as a folk and protest song artist, and then his head-turning switch to electric with Bringing It All Back Home and an appearance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.
