The Arts Council is moving next week’s mayoral candidate forum to a larger location inside Century II to accommodate a bigger audience. KMUW’s Carla Eckels reports…

All ten mayoral candidates in Wichita have been invited to participate in the forum. Leaders from the Arts Council and other arts organizations are expected to ask the candidates questions about city government’s role in supporting the arts and implementing a comprehensive cultural plan.

The forum is meant to be a resource for voters who are interested in finding out where candidates stand on arts and culture issues that impact the city. The Arts Council says they won’t be endorsing candidates in the local primary or general elections.

The forum is being held at Century II’s Mary Jane Teall Theatre in downtown Wichita on February 12. The event begins at 6pm.

For more information on the event, see the press release below.
