'Ain't Too Proud To Beg': Two Classic Groups, One Hit

Have an idea for Soulsations' DoubleTake? Tell us!

Sunday, October 4

"Rock Steady" with the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, on Soulsations. We'll also hear tunes from the Average White Band, Brand New Heavies and Anita Baker, and engaging contemporary gospel music from Tim Bowman, nephew of gospel great Vicki Winans.

Plus, this week's DoubleTake features two classic groups singing one soul and one rock version of the 1966 hit "Ain't Too Proud To Beg." A Soulsations listener from Hutchinson, Kansas, says he first heard the cover by The Rolling Stones and was surprised years later to discover the original by The Temptations. Hear both takes this Sunday at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Soulsations
