The job fair targets formally incarcerated people but is open to anyone who is seeking employment. Organizer David Wilkinson says additional services will also be offered, including from the Kansas Department of Commerce through the Workforce Alliance, making available their mobile workforce center.

"It’s a 38-foot RV with 11 computer workstations," Wilkinson says. "It will be fully staffed. People can come and make their resume with assistance. They can do online job searches."

Wichita State University will also participate through a TRIO program that helps connect participants to educational sources, counseling and career training.

The job fair will be held at Wichita's St. Mark United Methodist Church on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 1-4 p.m.
