Kansas Supreme Court Selection Process
A recent move in Topeka seeks to reform how the State selects its Supreme Court Justices. This has divided lawmakers with some favoring the merit-based system which has been in place since 1958. Other lawmakers want the selection to be made by a selection committee similar to how Federal Supreme Judges are selected. This session of Tuesday Topics will feature speakers from each side, and they will discuss the pros and cons of both selection processes.
