Cecilia Raheb is guitarist and vocalist with the Wichita-based band Crisis Casanova with Brenna Beeson.
“When I was a kid and I would sing I was horrible, and I would sing so off-key. My family had no problem telling me that.
But … it just took practice. I feel like a lot of people say, ‘I can’t sing. I don’t have a natural talent,’ or, ‘I can’t play music. People are gifted.’ But, really, if you have a desire to do something, you can invest time in it and you will get better with deliberate practice.”
