So many school buses for students...but who is riding them?

Despite a mid-summer surge in coronavirus, and a near miss with Hurricane Laura, schools in Houston are scrambling to reopen and get students back into the classroom. But even with improved case numbers in August, public health experts are warning that the state could see a new surge if schools reopen too quickly.

Meanwhile, some teachers are worried about making sure their students can access the internet, and keeping their focus learning. It’s led to some educators reporting longer hours, while administrators work to find the resources and game-plan for the fall semester.

We check in with Houston Independent School District Interim Superintendent, GrenitaLathan, about what’s happening in Houston.
