*Volunteering at FM 89 gives you the opportunity to meet on-air personalities, behind the scene staffers and other Wichita Public Radio supporters like yourself. Phone volunteers are needed for KMUW's pledge drives which take place twice a year in the Spring and the Fall. Volunteers will answer phones and fill out pledge forms during this busy time. The phone shifts are usually 2-3 hours long, depending on the time of day and the day of the week. We begin at 5:45 a.m. on weekdays, 8 a.m. on Saturdays, and Sundays at 10 a.m.

**Wichita Radio Reading Service provides daily readings of newspapers, magazines and novels for area citizens who can no longer read 14-point type due to visual, physical or cognitive handicaps. Volunteers usually read once or twice per month. Reading sessions are 1 hour in length and we call ahead to check your availability. No special skills are needed, just enjoyment of reading out loud.
