At Play: Cooks, Cakes And The Kingdom Of Spam

Wichita Community Theatre presents The Dixie Swim Club June 6-23. Five Southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team, set aside a long weekend every August to recharge those relationships. The Dixie Swim Club focuses on four of those weekends and spans a period of 33 years.

Wichita Community Theatre closes out its run of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap. The production ends Sunday, November 4 with performances Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m.

Wichita's James Paul is a solo musician but he can claim deep support from some fellow performing artists--his family.

It's easy to hear some musical influences in Wichita singer-songwriter James Paul's music. Gospel and soul are clear touchstones. But there are also touches of folk and country music, elements, he says, that came from two of his biggest direct influences, his mother and father.
