The Grow with Google tour will be in Wichita on Wednesday.

There is still time to sign up for the Grow with Google event scheduled for Wednesday in Wichita.

The one-day event is free and open to people or businesses interested in improving their digital skills. Grow with Google will include one-on-one coaching sessions, workshops and interactive demonstrations.

Workshop topics include online tools for small businesses, job search strategies, email basics and search engine optimization. The workshops will be taught by Google staff.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Wichita State University’s Hughes Metropolitan Complex, near 29th Street North and Oliver.

“Wichita is home to so many collaborative local organizations whose mission is to help residents take advantage of the digital economy,” Stephen Brokaw, community engagement manager for Google, said in a statement. “Google is glad to aid that effort.”

Several local organizations are parternering with Google for the event, including the Center for Entrepreneurship at WSU, Kansas Leadership Center, Wichita Independent Business Association, Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas.
