A Musical Life: David Lord

http://www.airhouserecords.com

David Lord is a guitarist responsible for several releases under the Francis Moss and Wonder Revolution monikers. He is an accomplished educator and business owner who operates Air House Academy and Air House Records in Wichita. Lord has also recorded with brothers Aaron and Sean Fanning as part of the band Solagget

Francis Moss music is my music in relationship to the forest. So, it’s all kind of forest inspired.

The story with Francis Moss is that I was on tour with Solagget. We had a few days off and we went to Quinault Rain Forest in Washington State. It was the first time I was in a thick forest.

This new sound of music that I knew I wanted to make just entered me. It was transmitted to me almost. It was this certain vibe of music that I knew, once I got back home, I would start to write.

The Wonder Revolution is more about me and my friends being imaginative. We’ll just make up stories about sky bicycles or spark flowers and write songs and run around our back yard. The Wonder Revolution is more about not losing that sort of childlike spirit about us as we get older—the sense of imagination and wonder.
