Blues Central

Join us for the full spectrum of the blues: the vintage sounds of Blues Before Sunrise; contemporary blues and blues-inspired music from across genres and around the world that meet at Crossroads; and the mix of Blues And Beyond.

Crossroads
Crossroads is KMUW’s diverse and contemporary blues show. Hosted by Chris Heim, the show highlights blues from the post-war era to the present, new releases, and music and artists that connect blues with R&B, rock, jazz, world music and more.

Blues Before Sunrise
This long-running ‘Blues Heritage’ show focuses on the first fifty years of recorded blues, bringing you vintage, rare, classic and unusual sounds along with in-depth and incisive commentary from Steve Cushing, veteran blues DJ and musician who serves as host/producer of the show.
