KMUW 89.1 FM Presents Winfield 2010 - A Preview of This Year’s Walnut Valley Festival
One of the premier musical events in Kansas, the Walnut Valley Festival - or simply Winfield, as it is known to friends and fans, is just around the corner. Running this year from September 15th through the 19th, the popular bluegrass, folk and acoustic music festival once again offers an impressive lineup of more than 30 artists and bands, along with eight instrumental contests, campground contests, a songwriter showcase, arts and crafts and more.
In advance of the event, KMUW presents “Winfield 2010,” an hour-long special featuring music from some of the many artists scheduled to appear at this year’s Festival. KMUW music host Chris Heim will be your guide for the music and background on the artists and the event. “Winfield 2010” airs Saturday, September 11 at 7pm on 89.1.
