Major Astro

Moved to Wichita in 1967. The fellow students at my elementary school introduced me to Major Astro. He was on after school, showing cartoons on a show called “Thunderbird.” (Basically puppets who flew his performance planes.) Later in the year my friends told me about “Santa’s Workshop,” which aired after school from Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve. When I had my own children it was fun to find a DVD of “Thunderbirds” and a re-airing of “Santa’s Workshop” with Toyboy/Kakeman.
