Wichita Farmers’ Markets Try to Boost EBT Usage (slideshow)

The harvest season is in full swing around the nation, including South-Central Kansas. Locally grown food is becoming more and more popular. Clubs, groups and new farmers’ markets are popping up all the time. With the growing interest has come increased efforts to insure access to fresh, whole foods for all Kansans, including those who are low income. But the fruits of those efforts are slow and have left some wondering whether Kansas is on the right track.
