The stories told by the people we meet every day can surprise us, make us laugh, and, sometimes, remind us of ourselves and the importance of the little things in our lives. StoryCorps is an oral history project that lets friends and loved ones interview each other and tell these stories, which are then archived at the Library of Congress. Recently, the StoryCorps mobile recording booth stopped in Wichita and gave local people a chance to talk about their memories and the things that are important to them. Today, we'll hear Marion Renner tell her son, Richard, about her strongest memories of her father. We'll continue to bring you more interviews by local friends and loved ones Wednesdays during Morning Edition on KMUW. You can also hear those interviews, see photos, and learn more about StoryCorps by visiting our website, KMUW.org, or by visiting the national website at StoryCorps.net.
